A man’s family is falling apart because he chooses to stay and care for his father who has Alzheimer's. The story follows a couple going through a divorce, but beneath it is something caregivers know too well: the quiet work no one else sees.
In this scene, the son helps his father shower.
earlier in the film, his wife pleads with him:
“he doesn’t even know who you are.”
but he stays anyway because something in him says, I have to.
