Indeed, today is a 𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐲 𝐛𝐢𝐫𝐭𝐡𝐝𝐚𝐲— not just because I’m celebrating my 22nd year of life but because I’m also closing a beautiful chapter as I graduate. Two milestones in one day, and honestly, it all feels surreal.

There are moments when life moves so fast you don’t realize you’re already stepping into the dreams you once prayed for, and right now that’s exactly what I feel. I look back and remember a time when school was almost not part of our future. I was just in elementary then, and we were on the edge of giving up on education. My mom didn’t have work, my dad was very sick and in and out of the hospital — we didn’t know how to move forward.

But God, in His perfect way, sent people who carried us when we couldn’t carry ourselves.

To my 𝐓𝐢𝐭𝐚 𝐉𝐡𝐞𝐞𝐭, thank you for stepping up when the world felt like it was falling apart. You chose to leave your comfort and go abroad, not for yourself, but for us. You gave us the chance to dream, the chance to finish school, and the kind of love only a mother can give.

To my 𝐓𝐢𝐭𝐨 𝐃𝐡𝐚𝐫 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐓𝐢𝐭𝐚 𝐀𝐫𝐥𝐲𝐧, thank you for helping us in the moments we needed it the most. You supported our family in ways that went beyond what was expected. You stood with us, lifted us, and gave us strength during times we felt weakest. We are here today because of your love, your sacrifices, and your unwavering presence in our lives.

To my 𝐌𝐨𝐦, my strongest woman, thank you. Kahit gaano kahirap ang buhay, hindi mo kami binitawan. Kahit hindi madali ang lahat, pinipili mo pa rin lumaban araw-araw para sa amin. I’ve seen how much you’ve endured, how much you’ve sacrificed, and how deeply you’ve loved us. Today, this moment is just as much yours as it is mine.

To my 𝐃𝐚𝐝, I know you’re not here physically, but I carry you in my heart every single day. Every step I take on this stage, every award I receive, every dream I reach, I know you’re watching, and I hope I’ve made you proud. You were our quiet strength, even in the hardest times.

To my 𝐅𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐲, thank you for always believing in me. To 𝐉𝐨𝐫𝐝, who’s been my rock, thank you for seeing the silent struggles, for reminding me to stay positive, and for always being there even when I had no words left.

To my 𝐀𝐭𝐞, we made it. All the times we stretched every peso, all the days we shared meals, and even the days we had none, we turned every trial into a lesson and every hardship into a stepping stone
We never had much, but we had each other — and that was more than enough.

There were days I went to school without breakfast, nights we went to sleep without dinner, and times I didn’t eat lunch just so I could save. Eventually, it made me sick, but even then, I showed up because I believed, and I still do, that one day all of this would be worth it.

To the people who helped me when life was the hardest
To those who gave me work
To those who welcomed me into their homes
To those who supported me silently while I was studying
Thank you — you gave me a reason to keep going when giving up would’ve been easier.

To my 𝐓𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐬 — thank you for your guidance, your patience, and your belief in me. You didn’t just shape my mind, you shaped my future.

𝑺𝒑𝒆𝒄𝒊𝒂𝒍 𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒏𝒌𝒔 𝒕𝒐 𝒎𝒚 𝒕𝒆𝒂𝒄𝒉𝒆𝒓𝒔 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒉𝒆𝒂𝒅𝒔 — 𝑷𝒓𝒐𝒇. 𝑫𝒓. 𝑺𝒊𝒓 𝑱𝒐𝒔𝒉, 𝑺𝒊𝒓 𝑭𝒓𝒆𝒅𝒅𝒊𝒆, 𝑺𝒊𝒓 𝑫𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒚, 𝑫𝒆𝒂𝒏 𝑴𝒐𝒏𝒆𝒔, 𝑺𝒊𝒓 𝑷𝒂𝒖𝒍, 𝑺𝒊𝒓 𝑨𝒍𝒗𝒊𝒏, 𝑴𝒂’𝒂𝒎 𝑷𝒓𝒊𝒕𝒛𝒚, 𝑴𝒂’𝒂𝒎 𝑬𝒅𝒆𝒍, 𝑴𝒂’𝒂𝒎 𝑴𝒂𝒚𝒓𝒂𝒉, 𝑴𝒂’𝒂𝒎 𝑲𝒂𝒓𝒍𝒂, 𝑴𝒂’𝒂𝒎 𝑳𝒂𝒏𝒏𝒚, 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑺𝒊𝒓 𝑲𝒊𝒎 — 𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒏𝒌 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝒔𝒉𝒂𝒓𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒚𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒘𝒊𝒔𝒅𝒐𝒎, 𝒈𝒖𝒊𝒅𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒖𝒔 𝒘𝒊𝒕𝒉 𝒈𝒓𝒂𝒄𝒆, 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒃𝒆𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒂 𝒗𝒊𝒕𝒂𝒍 𝒑𝒂𝒓𝒕 𝒐𝒇 𝒎𝒚 𝒋𝒐𝒖𝒓𝒏𝒆𝒚.

To my 𝐅𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐬, thank you for being part of my college life — we laughed, we cried, we crammed, we conquered. Congratulations to all of us!

To 𝐈𝐬𝐚𝐛𝐞𝐥𝐚 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲, thank you for shaping us and for making a big impact in my life. You molded more than just students — you shaped lives.

To my 𝐂𝐡𝐮𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐋𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐆𝐨𝐝 – 𝐂𝐚𝐮𝐚𝐲𝐚𝐧 𝐅𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐲, thank you for being our prayer partners and warriors. Your prayers carried us through more than you know.

Today, I walk not just with a diploma but with the weight of every sacrifice, every silent prayer, every tear, and every second of faith we held on to. This is for my family. This is for the people who believed in me. This is for the younger version of myself who never gave up even when she had every reason to.

I may have worn crowns on stage, walked runways, and smiled in front of lights and cameras — but none of that compares to this. This moment is everything. This is the crown I’ve worked the hardest for.

To anyone out there who’s struggling, let my story remind you — your current situation is not your final destination. Keep going. God is always working behind the scenes.

As I celebrate 𝟐𝟐 𝐲𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐞, I don’t just celebrate getting older. I celebrate growth. I celebrate grace. I celebrate every reason I had to stop — but didn’t.

Maybe known as someone
who’s used to the stage—
grace in every walk,
confidence on every page.

But this one felt different.
This step, this pace—
a rush of nerves,
a bittersweet race.

To walk for the final time,
not in crowns, but in hope—
for the last award
of my college scope.

The long post will be on July 22.
Indeed, it will be a Happy Birthday—two celebrations in one day: my graduation and me turning 22.
See you on July 22 as I close this chapter and step into a new beginning.✨🙌
