I’ll be the villain in your story
if it means protecting my kids in I’ll be the villain in your story
if it means protecting my kids in mine.

Call me controlling.
Say I overreact.
Think I’m “too much.”
That’s fine.

Because I don’t parent to please anyone.
I parent to protect, to make sure my kids feel safe, seen, and loved.

Sometimes love means drawing lines others don’t understand.
Saying “no” when everyone says “let it go.”
Standing firm even when your knees are shaking.

If that makes me the bad guy —
then so be it.
I can live with being misunderstood.
What I can’t live with…
is not protecting them when I could have. 🫶🏻

Toys on the floor.
Dishes in the sink.
Laundry waiting to be folded.
A meal to cook before the next meltdown starts.

It’s a never-ending cycle, and some days...
it’s hard to keep up. But in between the chaos,
there are little hands reaching for mine, little smiles that remind me —this mess means love lives here.

Because one day, the floors will be clean, the sink will be empty, and I’ll miss the mess that once meant they were small.

We talk so often about teaching children emotional regulation but forget they’re still learning what emotions even are.

They’re not misbehaving when they feel deeply.�They’re being human.

Children don’t need to be perfectly composed to be good, they need space to fall apart and know they’re still loved. Because if we want them to grow into adults who can regulate their emotions, we have to start by modelling what regulation looks like and not perfection, but repair.

They’re allowed to feel angry, frustrated, disappointed, overwhelmed. They’re allowed to have limits, just like we do. And sometimes, they’ll lose it — just like we do.

When we remember that, we stop meeting their chaos with control, and start meeting it with compassion.�
Because the truth is —they’re not giving us a hard time. They’re having a hard time. ❤️

No makeup. No filters. Just a woman giving everything she has, even when her body trembles from exhaustion and her eyes plead for rest.

It’s not just feeding.
It’s comfort. It’s safety.
It’s a silent promise that says, “Mama’s here. You’re safe.”
Behind every peaceful baby is a mother who sacrifices her sleep, her comfort, and sometimes even herself... just to make sure her child has everything they need.

To all breastfeeding moms, you don’t just give milk,
you give pieces of your strength, your soul, your very being. Every drop, every tear, every sleepless night
is a story of your love that the world will never fully understand. 🤍

And to every father and husband, see her.
Appreciate her.
Hold her when she’s too tired to hold herself.
Because motherhood may be silent, but it should never be invisible. 🤱🏻✨

True, because I’m the one caring for my child 24/7.
Not lola, not tita, not yaya... just me.

If the price of my tired eyes and messy hair
is seeing my child happy and healthy,
then I’ll wear my losyang look proudly.
