“GUSTO KO SANA BUMALIK SA CHURCH… PERO NAHIHIYA NA AKO ANG TAGAL KONG NAWALA!”

Guilt tells you, "it’s too late.” And the enemy adds, "People will judge you.” But none of these voices come from God.

Because while you were away, no matter how long, He never closed the door. You may have drifted, but God never distanced Himself from you. Just like the father in the story of the prodigal son, He is not waiting with anger; He’s waiting with compassion.

Luke 15:20 KJV
"...But when he was yet a great way off, his father saw him, and had compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him."

Your absence did not cancel your identity. You are still His child. Your calling is still yours. God didn’t delete your purpose simply because you struggled or failed.

Romans 11:29 KJV
"For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance."

And the truth is—you don’t need to fix your life before returning. You don’t need perfect behavior, a spotless record, or a flawless heart. What God asks for is not perfection but honesty. A heart willing to say, “Lord, I’m coming home.”

James 4:8 KJV
"Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you."

The Church is not meant to be a place for perfect people; it’s a home for the wounded and the returning. If anyone looks at you with judgment, remember: their opinion is not God’s voice. You are not coming back for people, you are coming back for Him.

And if you think your distance disqualifies you, Jesus Himself proves the opposite. He came specifically for those who feel far, lost, and unworthy.

Luke 19:10 KJV
"For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost."

So how do you come back after being away for so long?
You simply take one step toward home. Even if it’s shaky. Even if it’s painful. Even if it’s messy.

Because God is not asking, “Where have you been?”
He is whispering, "Come back. I never stopped waiting for you.”

No distance is too far.
No time is too long.
And no story is too broken for the God who restores.

Come home. The Father’s arms are still open.

Glory to God 🙌🏻

True faith looks outside of self to the LORD God, while pride always looks to self.

Exodus 20:4 KJV
Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth:

Psalm 115:4-8 KJV
Their idols are silver and gold, the work of men's hands.
[5] They have mouths, but they speak not: eyes have they, but they see not:
[6] They have ears, but they hear not: noses have they, but they smell not:
[7] They have hands, but they handle not: feet have they, but they walk not: neither speak they through their throat.
[8] They that make them are like unto them; so is every one that trusteth in them.

We are called to live by faith and nothing else.

· Some Christians live by devotions.

· Some Christians live by works.

· Some Christians live by feelings.

· Some Christians live by circumstances.

Each of these is meaningless and perhaps dangerous without faith.

Pride is everywhere and takes all manner of shapes.

· Here is the rich man, proud of what he has.

· There is the poor man, proud of his “honor” in having less.

· Here is the talented man, proud of what he can do.

· There is the man of few talents, proud of his hard work.

· Here is the religious man, proud of his religion.

· There is the unbeliever, proud of his unbelief.

· Here is the establishment man, proud of his place in society.

· There is the counter-cultural man, proud of his “outcast” status.

· Here is the learned man, proud of his intelligence and learning.

· Here is the simple man, proud of his simplicity.

Nahum 2:13 KJV
Behold, I am against thee, saith the LORD of hosts, and I will burn her chariots in the smoke, and the sword shall devour thy young lions: and I will cut off thy prey from the earth, and the voice of thy messengers shall no more be heard.

"Behold, I am against thee": What a terrible thing to hear from God! The principle of Romans 8:31 is true for the believer: "...If God be for us, who can be against us?" Accordingly, the opposite is also true,

if God is against you, then who can be for you?

Romans 10:15 KJV
And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!

Nahum 1:15 KJV
Behold upon the mountains the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, that publisheth peace! O Judah, keep thy solemn feasts, perform thy vows: for the wicked shall no more pass through thee; he is utterly cut off.

The feet speak of activity, motion, and progress, and those who are active and moving in the work of preaching the gospel have beautiful feet.

Micah 7:18 KJV
Who is a God like unto thee, that pardoneth iniquity, and passeth by the transgression of the remnant of his heritage? he retaineth not his anger for ever, because he delighteth in mercy.

Why does God have such great mercy and forgiveness for His people? The reasons are in Him, not in His people. It is simply because He delights in mercy.

• If God delights in mercy, then why are some men lost? Because God doesn’t delight in mercy so as to shame His justice. God opens His hand of mercy to all who will receive it, but those who will not receive His mercy can blame only themselves.

• If God delights in mercy, then why is there an unpardonable sin? We should be grateful that there is only one unpardonable sin – the sin of rejecting His mercy.

He will again have compassion on us: God’s people once knew His compassion, but they resisted and rejected it. Now they could know it again, confident that He will again have compassion on us.

• His compassion is shown in that the LORD will subdue our iniquities. He loves us as sinners but loves us too much to leave us in our sin. His compassion saves us from our sin.
