“When the Ground Shook and the Sky Cried: A Reminder of What Truly Matters”
We feel so happy when we finally have a house, land, or car that we can call our own. But it’s painful to realize that in just the blink of an eye, everything we’ve worked hard for over the years can be destroyed. One strong storm, one earthquake — and all our efforts can disappear.
No matter where we live — in a nice subdivision or a small, simple home — there’s no guarantee of safety when nature decides to strike. Disasters don’t choose their victims.
When calamity comes, rich or poor, we all stand on the same ground. The flood doesn’t care who has money. The wind doesn’t choose who to spare. It’s a heartbreaking reminder that nothing in this world is permanent — not our possessions, not even the walls that shelter us.
In the end, only life truly matters. The kindness we show, the care we give, and the love we share — those are the things that can’t be washed away.
Sometimes it takes a disaster to open our eyes — to remind us to live simply, stay humble, and hold our loved ones closer while we still can.
