Diwata Reveals Truth Behind Pares Branches: Name Used, No Income, Left With Debt
Content creator and food entrepreneur Diwata has spoken up about the confusion surrounding his popular food business Diwata Pares. In an emotional statement, he clarified that the only branch he truly owns is his original paresan, while the outlets in Quezon City, Caloocan, Laguna, and Pampanga are not under his direct ownership.
According to Diwata, his name was used in agreements with supposed business partners who promised him franchising and royalty fees. However, for over a year, he claims he never received any payment. Instead of gaining from the expansion, he found himself carrying financial burdens.
One major issue he revealed is the ₱300,000-plus balance tied to the Quezon City branch, which he is now obliged to settle since his name is legally attached.
“Imbes na kumita ako, wala talaga akong kinita. Ako pa yung nag-sacrifice, ako pa yung nautangan,” Diwata said tearfully.
He also expressed frustration that despite multiple meetings and promises, nothing was fulfilled. Some of his personal items even remain with the group he partnered with. Diwata admitted he never really knew the true background of these people, as they only approached him during the peak of his online popularity.
Despite facing criticisms and bashers online, Diwata stressed that he is speaking out to raise awareness. He wants the public to understand that while many think he is earning from multiple branches, the reality is that he has not profited at all and is now struggling with debt.
“Awareness lang po sa lahat. Dahil ako ang magbabayad, hindi ko naman talaga pinakinabangan. Imbes na kumita ako, ako pa po yung naagrabyado,” he said.
Diwata ended his statement by saying that the experience is painful and disappointing, as he only wanted to uplift himself from poverty. Instead, he feels he was left with nothing but obligations and financial losses.
