REHABILITATED SEA TURTLE RETURNS TO MOALBOAL WATERS

MOALBOAL, Cebu โ€” A rescued sea turtle was successfully released back into the sea on Monday, August 25, following days of rehabilitation at the Cebu Technological University (CTU) Moalboal College of Fisheries and Allied Sciences.

The turtle, which had sustained injuries from boat traffic, was rescued last August 20 and turned over to CTU marine experts for treatment. With the support of the Moalboal local government unit (LGU) and conservation partners, the marine creature was nursed back to health and deemed fit for release.

The release was witnessed by CTU officials and LGU representatives including marine conservation advocates.
