This photo from Project Nightfall has been drawing a lot of attention from Filipinos. The caption reads:

"In the Philippines, people living in extreme poverty eat 'Pagpag' — fast food leftovers collected from the garbage, cleaned, and recooked."

It’s deeply heartbreaking to see the reality so many of our fellow countrymen face. No one should have to live like this. If there were no corruption, poverty on this level wouldn’t exist. Our people deserve better.

Amidst the earthquake in Cebu, unity and compassion shine the brightest. 🙏💔

While others are busy giving help to their fellow people, tabang og hatag og ayuda sa mga naapektuhan sa linog sa northern part of Cebu.
Mga rescuers, volunteers, and ordinary citizens are doing their part naghatag og pagkaon, tubig, ug suporta sa mga biktima. For FREE ha LIBRE In the middle of this crisis, While President BBM also fulfilled his promise gibaligya na ang 20 kilos nga bugas, para sa mga nalinogan ma feel gyud nimu iyang presensya para nga para gyud sa katawhan. 🥴🧐

Sa kadugay nga panahon nga ang masa nangandoy og barato ug abunda nga bugas, karon natuman na gyud ang saad — 20kls nga bugas gi-baligya ni Presidente! para ra pd sa mga affected sa linog. while ang ubang Cebuano nanghatag ug FREE. AMAZING! Hahaha feel kaayu iyang presensya 🥱.

Vivant Corporation through Vivant Foundation has deployed its mobile water treatment system to delivering up to 120,000 liters of potable water to earthquake-affected communities of Medellin, Cebu. Through this effort, Vivant helped provide access to clean, safe drinking water — a vital step toward recovery and rebuilding. Vivant Water has also deployed tanks filled with water from its Isla Mactan Desalination Plant for various towns and municipalities in northern Cebu.

In partnership with Vivant Energy subsidiary, Isla Norte Power Corporation (INPC) volunteers also distributed relief packs to hardest-hit areas, including Daanbantayan, San Remigio, Bogo, and Bantayan Island, where INPC continued to provide 24/7 power despite the impact of the quake.
