𝐓𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐧𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐓𝐫𝐢𝐛𝐮𝐧𝐞 𝐇𝐨𝐥𝐝𝐬 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐞𝐰𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐒𝐤𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐬 𝐓𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐀𝐬𝐩𝐢𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐂𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐮𝐬 𝐉𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐬

On September 10-11, 2025, the Technological Tribune conducted applicant interviews and skills tests at the CTU-Tabogon Library Hub. The activity served as a crucial step in selecting new members for the official campus publication.

Applicants from different departments participated in the screening process, aspiring to take on various roles in the publication. The positions included News Anchor, News and Sports Writer, Photojournalist, Literary and Feature Writer, Cartoonist, Video Journalist, Video Editor, and Layout Artist. Each candidate was carefully evaluated not only on their technical skills but also on their creativity, critical thinking, and ability to communicate effectively. Members of the Technological Tribune’s editorial staff facilitated the process, ensuring that applicants were assessed in a fair and supportive manner.

Through this activity, the Technological Tribune aims to build a stronger and more dynamic team of student journalists, entrusted with informing, inspiring, and amplifying the voices of the CTU-Tabogon community.

Known as the “𝐆𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐎𝐥𝐝 𝐌𝐚𝐧” of Cebu, Osmeña was the fourth president of the Philippines and the very first Visayan to hold the nation’s highest office. He was one of Cebu's most esteemed leaders, dedicating his entire life to public service, as a journalist, lawmaker, Vice President, and finally as President during the country's most difficult years in World War II.

In his inaugural address in Washington D.C., he declared:

Osmeña's leadership guided the nation through the challenges of liberation and rebuilding, leaving a legacy of humility, integrity, and devotion to the Filipino people.

Today is not just a holiday, but also a reminder of what true public service means. On Osmeña Day, we remember a Cebuano who became a national figure, a leader whose example challenges us to lead with honor and sincerity, and to always put country above self.

Salute to our fourth president—Sergio Osmeña Sr., a statesman, a leader, and a Filipino worth remembering, whose legacy continues to inspire generations.

Teachers are not only educators but also mentors, guides and artists who light the path so that others can learn to walk on their own. This is not just a tribute but also a reminder of the countless hours of unwavering patience and geniune care with which teachers guide their students.

Behind every successful person is a teacher who, at some point, believed in them. Beyond textbooks, it is teachers who inculcate values, resilience, and the courage to dream. They create a sense of curiosity, ignite passion, and a lifelong learning.

In line with this, P. J. Abdul Kalam once said,

Students shone in their traditional Filipino outfits, transforming our campus into a vibrant tapestry of culture and history. The celebration highlighted the rich diversity of our archipelago, with each student’s attire telling a unique story. From the elegant baro’t saya and the refined barong Tagalog to the intricate patterns of the malong and the majestic colors of the Filipiniana gown, every piece was a testament to our enduring heritage.

It was truly a day of pride, culture, and unity.
