PNP ARRESTS MOST WANTED SUSPECT FOR R**E CASES IN BULACAN

The Philippine National Police, under the command of PNP Chief PGEN Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., successfully arrested the No. 2 Most Wanted Person at the regional level in an operation conducted at about 1:20 PM on May 3, 2026, in Brgy. Lapnit, San Ildefonso, Bulacan. Operatives from the San Ildefonso Municipal Police Station under the Bulacan Police Provincial Office served the warrant of arrest against the accused, who is facing four counts of statutory r**e with no bail recommended and three counts of acts of lasciviousness with a recommended bail of PhP600,000.00. The accused is now under the custody of the arresting unit.

The arrest highlights the firm and sustained efforts of the PNP in pursuing individuals listed among the most wanted, particularly those involved in grave offenses against women and children. The operation was carried out through lawful procedures, resulting in the immediate arrest of the accused and ensuring that the individual will answer before the court.

“This operation reflects our strong commitment to enforce the law without hesitation and to protect those who are most at risk in our communities,” said PNP Chief PGEN Nartatez.

Aligned with the PNP Focused Agenda—a strategic framework of transformation designed to make police service more responsive and accountable—this accomplishment underscores the key priority on Enhanced Managing Police Operations, particularly in intensifying manhunt efforts against wanted persons involved in high-impact crimes.

“We will not allow offenders to remain at large. Our police units will continue to act with determination in locating and arresting those facing serious charges,” PGEN Nartatez added.

As the PNP strengthens its manhunt operations and reinforces its efforts to uphold public safety under the directive of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., it continues to assure the public of “Bagong PNP para sa Bagong Pilipinas: Serbisyong mabilis, tapat, at nararamdaman.”

PNP CITES PEACEFUL, ORDERLY LABOR DAY CELEBRATION

The Philippine National Police (PNP) reported that the nationwide observance of Labor Day on May 1, 2026 concluded generally peaceful and orderly, following close monitoring of activities across the country, with more than 106,000 police personnel strategically deployed to ensure public safety.

As of 7:00 PM, a total of 58 rallies were monitored, all of which have been completed without any major untoward incidents. Authorities recorded an estimated 13,324 participants who joined various activities nationwide, reflecting active yet manageable public engagement throughout the day.

PNP Chief, Police General Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., said the overall situation reflects strong public cooperation and the professionalism of personnel on the ground.

The Chief PNP noted that while there was an isolated incident earlier in the day involving protesters that resulted in injuries to several police personnel, it did not affect the overall peaceful conduct of activities nationwide.

He emphasized that the PNP remains committed to upholding the right of individuals to express their views while ensuring public safety.

The PNP attributed the orderly outcome of the nationwide observance to sustained coordination with local government units, partner agencies, and organizers, along with the cooperation of the public.

As the situation returns to normal, the PNP assures the public that it will continue to remain vigilant and responsive in maintaining peace and order, guided by its commitment to service and community trust under the Bagong PNP para sa Bagong Pilipinas: Serbisyong Mabilis, Tapat at Nararamdaman.
