The main objective of MARPOL Annex 1 is to protect the marine environment through the complete elimination of pollution by oil at sea and other damaging elements and to lessen the chances of accidental discharges of any such elements.

REPOSTING: ANO ANG MGA COP NA MAY EXPIRATION?

Ang mga COP na may expiration at kailangan na may refresher course para marenew o marevalidate ito ay BT, PSCRB, PFRB at AFF. Icheck mo ang expiratin sa COP mo. Dapat valid pa ito kapag nagapply ka ng renewal o revalidation para refresher course ang kukunin mo. Kung expired na ito ay kailangan full course na ang kunin.

Sa mga ratings na may hawak na COP ng BTOC o BTLGT na may nakalagay na expiration, mag-apply po kayo sa MISMO ng REPLACEMENT para mapalitan ang iyong COP at matanggal ang expiration dahil wala pong expiration ang BTOC at BTLGT para sa mga ratings. Sa officers lang po may expiration.

Sa mga officers na magrerenew o revalidate ng COP ng BTOC, BTLGT, ATLGT, ATCT at ATOT, required po na may sea service kayo ng 3months as officer onboard tanker vessels para marevalidate ang COP.

Ariya: READ EACH PHOTO'S CAPTION

In my years of practice in construction, I often hear this word throughout the construction process, from the design up to the actual turn key of the project. This is more frequent in residential projects.

But what are these “Ariyas”?

These are practices or traditions observed during the construction process. Mostly handed over by word of mouth from the elderlies. Some of which we are very familiar with and others even resembling the practice of Feng Shui. Filipinos believe that practice, or not practice thereof, may bring luck or bad luck to the home owners, during the construction and even the whole tenure of their stay in the house. Which usually is for the rest of their lives for most Filipino families.

So, we made a list of the more common Ariyas we heard of. Hoping that this would enlighten homeowners and guide home builders in the process. Though as for any other superstitious beliefs, it is not a MUST FOLLOW, but as our elderlies say. There is no harm in following them.

Again, these are not our own practices but those that some of our clients requested.
