Today, we honor the sacrifice of the known and unknown heroes, from the heroes of the revolution whose bravery led us to freedom to the modern heroes of today whose selfless acts contribute to the growth of their community and of the country.

Visayanians, let our heroes be an inspiration of patriotism, the unbreakable tie that continues to bind the Filipinos.

Fight for your right, for we are our own heroes in todayโ€™s time.

This day, the spirit of democracy remains a testament of sacrifice and legacy.

We honor the life of Benigno โ€œNinoyโ€ Aquino Jr., whose courage and ultimate sacrifice paved the way for freedom and unity in our nation. His legacy reminds us that democracy is not merely givenโ€”it is fought for and protected.

Let this day inspire us to uphold the values of liberty and to work together in building a better Philippines, for truly, โ€œThe Filipino is worth dying for.โ€
