"I ordered the immediate suspension of all procedures related to the project” - President Lee Jae Myung

South Korea just killed a ₩7 trillion ($5B) loan to the Philippines.

Why?

Because they smelled corruption.

Their Ministry of Finance already said last year: "This project looks rotten."
But pushed it anyway.
Until President Lee stepped in and said: Stop.

Not a single peso wasted. Not a single won released.
They protected their people’s money.

Here's the data:
- The loan was supposed to fund a major civil works project here.
- Korea’s own Ministry of Finance already warned of corruption and insolvency last year.
- Despite that, the project was revived under political pressure.
- President Lee finally stepped in and ordered an immediate halt, before a single peso of Korean taxpayer money was wasted.

Now here’s the punchline:
Foreign governments are protecting themselves from us.
Because corruption in our backyard is so obvious, even outsiders are shutting their wallets.

This isn’t about $5B.
It’s about our reputation.
Every time corruption wins here, investors lose interest. And when investors lose interest, Filipinos lose opportunities.

Corruption doesn’t just steal money.
It steals trust.
It steals jobs.
It steals the future.

How many more billions must the world block before we finally block corruption ourselves?

SUSPENDEDO ANG KLASE SA CORDOVA

JUST IN: Mayor Cesar Suan has announced the suspension of classes in Cordova town on Monday, September 8, due to inclement weather.

“Isip amahan sa lungsod, dili nato igsapayan o i-risgo ang health and safety sa mga magtutungha ug magtutudlo sa Cordova,” Suan was quoted in an advisory released by the municipal government shortly after 7 a.m. today.

The suspension of classes will apply to all public and private elementary and high school in Cordova, including the Cordova Public College. | Cordova PIO
