PSA: Phone security reality check 🚨

Apple:
📱 “Your iPhone got stolen, and it’s offline? No problem. We’ll queue the wipe and erase it the moment it connects. Activation Lock stays. Thief gets a useless brick.”

Samsung:
📱 “Your phone got stolen? Okay, we need an OTP sent to the SIM… which is inside the stolen phone… and you’ll need to wait days to replace the SIM… oh, and the phone can’t be wiped yet.”

Make it make sense.

I honestly don’t understand how Samsung, a company that prides itself on ‘security’, can design a system that depends on receiving a code on a stolen device. That’s not security — that’s comedy.

Apple clearly planned for real-world theft scenarios:

Phone offline? ✔️

Phone switched off? ✔️

The thief tries to reset it? ✔️ Still locked

Samsung planned for:

“Hopefully the thief cooperates.”

“Hopefully, you get your SIM back.”

“Hopefully you don’t panic while your data is exposed.”

For a phone that costs as much as an iPhone, this level of friction is honestly unacceptable.

I never thought I’d say this, but in 2026:
🍎 Apple wins — not because it’s flashy, but because it actually works when things go wrong.

End of rant.

Samsung, I’m beyond furious.

A friend’s phone was STOLEN, and instead of being able to immediately protect their data, your system forces them through endless delays and hoops while their personal info, banking apps, work accounts, and private messages are completely exposed. (As of now the thieves are attempting to access the banking apps!)

Yes, Samsung has Find My Mobile / SmartThings Find, which is supposed to let users lock, locate, or erase a device. Sounds reassuring… until you actually need it.

In reality:
• Verification codes go to the stolen phone.
• Multi-step account security can lock users out completely.
• Support processes can make someone wait days or even weeks just to secure critical info.

And here’s the worst part: there is zero sense of urgency. This isn’t treated like an emergency, it’s treated like a routine request. Our data is at risk, and your system clearly doesn’t care.

Thank God, I use an iPhone, where wiping a lost device takes seconds, not days or weeks of frustration.

Samsung, you brag about “security,” but when it actually matters, your system is slow, rigid, and useless.

Do better. Fix this now.

2025 was a year of lessons, growth, and perspective.

It wasn’t always smooth—there were moments that asked me to slow down, including a few health challenges that changed how I see everyday life. But they were only part of the story, not the whole of it.

Professionally, I’m grateful for the opportunities that came my way—especially landing a great client who renewed my confidence and reminded me why I love what I do.

What truly defined 2025 were the people.

To those who showed up when I needed help—without being asked and without expecting anything in return—thank you. Your kindness, generosity, and presence meant more than words can express.

As I step into 2026, I’m carrying gratitude, clarity, and hope—for continued growth, more meaningful work, and hopefully more travels and new experiences along the way.

Here’s to new beginnings, deeper connections, and better days ahead.
