DOST-PAGASA has released the first tropical cyclone bulletin for Tropical Storm ( ).
β’ No change in the forecast track, as compared to their tropical cyclone advisories.
β’ Wind Signal No. 1 has been raised in Eastern Samar, Dinagat Islands and Siargao & Bucas Grande Islands.
For the track:
β’ It is now moving westward at an accelerating speed of 30 km/h.
β’ Landfall in Eastern Visayas - Caraga area tomorrow late evening (November 3) or Tuesday early morning (November 4).
β’ After Eastern Visayas, the center will then traverse Leyte, Cebu, Negros Island, Guimaras and Panay Island until Tuesday evening.
β’ Another landfall in the northern Palawan on Wednesday morning, November 5.
For the intensity:
β’ Could reach severe tropical storm later.
β’ Could reach typhoon tomorrow.
β’ Could traverse the Visayas and Palawan as a typhoon.
β’ The current peak intensity before landfall is 150-155 km/h.
β’ The highest possible wind signal would be Wind Signal No. 4.
β’ Based on climatological data and alternate scenario, the possibility of reaching super typhoon is now not ruled out.
Regardless if it will reach super typhoon or just a typhoon, we will expect stormy weather - heavy rains and gusty winds in the Visayas, Bicol Region, MIMAROPA and the northern part of Mindanao beginning tomorrow, November 3.
Widespread flashfloods and landslides are likely. Everyone is encouraged to monitor the updates from PAGASA. Be alert and prepared. β οΈπ
