What a year it's been for Cooper Flagg.
Last year at this time, he was on the eve of becoming the first college basketball player in over a decade to be invited to the USA Select Team, where he'd scrimmage with Team USA as an Olympics tune-up.
And he hadn't even started college yet -- he was a fresh-out-of-high-school 17 year old.
So how did it work out for him?
Flagg proceeded to torch his basketball idols up and down the court -- hitting big shots over Jrue Holiday, Bam Adebayo and even new teammate Anthony Davis.
It was a true coming out party for Cooper. Fans wanted to see if he could truly live up to the hype. Well, he did -- and then some.
After that display, Cooper was off to Duke for an impressive one-off season in which he led the Duke Men's Basketball to the Final Four.
And today, he surprised absolutely no one by becoming the first overall pick of the 2025 NBA Draft - the youngest #1 pick since LeBron James.
He's arguably the most hyped prospect since James as well.
All questions and doubts about James were quickly put to rest when he stepped foot on the NBA hardwood.
So haters, beware -- the similarities between Flagg and LeBron run deep, and we may be on the verge of seeing the next transformative generational talent.
