💚 Weekend powered by Matcha Tokyo’s Salted Cream Latte — smooth, rich, and unapologetically good. 🍵

Continue work with me on a weekend 💻✨ Yesterday’s earthquake paused a lot of my tasks, and though my bosses completely understood, I still wanted to catch up today. Grateful that everything’s okay in our area — back to work and feeling thankful for safety and productivity 🙏💪

As a Work-From-Home Estimator 👷‍♀️💻
One of the most common questions I get is: “What software do you usually use for takeoffs and estimates?”

My go-to tools are PlanSwift for fast and accurate quantity takeoffs, and Bluebeam Revu for marking up, measuring, and organizing plans. These two make estimating so much smoother and efficient—especially when working remotely!

It’s not just about working hard, but working smart with the right tools. ⚙️

📍Where I Find My Work-From-Home Jobs as an Engineer

People often ask, “Saan mo nakukuha ‘yung WFH jobs mo?” 🤔
Here’s how I usually find legit remote opportunities ⬇️

🔹 1. OnlineJobs.ph (OLJ) – My top go-to!
I regularly check new job posts under “Engineering,” “Estimator,” or “Admin Support.”
✨ Tip: Filter by “Full-time” and “Long-term” employers. I also make sure to complete my profile para mas mapansin ng clients.

🔹 2. pages & Groups
There are a lot of FB communities for remote jobs (search for “Work from Home Philippines” or “Remote Estimator Jobs”).
I turn on notifications for hiring posts, and once I see one that matches my skill set, I send a short but clear application message with my resume and sample works.

🔹 3. The Process
1️⃣ Check daily job posts (morning habit ☕)
2️⃣ Apply to 3-5 positions that fit my skills
3️⃣ Track my applications using a simple Excel sheet
4️⃣ Wait for interview invites
5️⃣ Once hired, I organize all client details in CRM 🧠

That’s how I built my WFH career — from scrolling job boards to working full-time remotely since 2019 💻✨

🌿Somewhere in Davao, there’s a little corner that feels like calm in a cup — &Matcha Cafe.
Their Pistachio Avocado Matcha Latte isn’t just a drink, it’s an experience — creamy, nutty, earthy, and so soothing. 🍵🥑
A perfect blend of local flavor and quiet moments.
Here’s to slowing down, one matcha sip at a time. ☁️💚

How to be an effective estimator (even while working from home): 💻📐

It’s not just about crunching numbers — it’s about accuracy, time management, and clear communication. Here’s what works for me:

1️⃣ Understand the scope — Read drawings and specs thoroughly. Missing one note can change everything.
2️⃣ Stay organized — From take-offs to quotes, keep your files and references easy to find.
3️⃣ Use the right tools — A good spreadsheet and estimating software can save hours of manual work.
4️⃣ Double-check everything — Accuracy builds trust.
5️⃣ Communicate clearly — Whether with clients, suppliers, or your team — clarity avoids costly mistakes.

Working remotely as an estimator means mastering your craft and your workflow.
Because in this job, precision isn’t optional — it’s the standard.

Sometimes, you just need the sea to remind you how to breathe again. The waves don’t rush — they flow, they reset, they return softer each time. Maybe that’s what I needed too — a quiet reset, a moment to let go, and come back lighter.
