Over the past few weeks, I've been paying closer attention to the websites and funnels I review.

One pattern keeps showing up.

It's usually not the design.

It isn't even the offer.

It's the moment a visitor starts asking themselves:

"What am I supposed to do next?"

That's where trust quietly begins to fade.

When a page asks people to think too hard...

When there are too many choices...

When the next step isn't obvious...

People don't always say "no."

They simply leave.

That's been one of my biggest takeaways.

Every page should answer the visitor's next question before they have to ask it.

Sometimes building trust isn't about adding more.

It's about removing the things that create hesitation.

Have you ever left a website because it felt confusing, even though you were interested?

The first decision I make after a client trusts me.

Last Monday, I shared that I believe trust is built long before someone becomes a client.

It made me think about what happens after someone says, "Yes."

Most people assume I jump straight into designing.

I don't.

My first decision is to understand what the funnel needs to do before I design a single section.

Is the goal to generate leads?

Book discovery calls?

Sell a course?

Every design choice comes after that.

Because when someone trusts me with their business, I want every decision to have a purpose.

A beautiful page might catch someone's attention.

A strategic page helps them take the next step.

That's the difference I try to make with every funnel I build.

What's the first thing you look for before starting a new project?

The Why Behind the Click #6
A client reached out to me recently with a problem she didn't know how to solve.

I didn't think about pitching my services.
I didn't think about sending a proposal.
I just wanted to help.

She trusted me enough to give me access to her account so I could fix the issue.

Afterward, I found myself wondering...
**Why did she trust me?**
It wasn't because we had a signed contract.
It wasn't because I tried to convince her.

Maybe trust isn't built in the moment someone says "yes."
Maybe it's built in all the moments before that.
The conversations.
The consistency.
The willingness to help without expecting something in return.

As I thought about it more, I realized something.

People often think trust comes after you've proven your expertise.
I'm starting to believe it begins when people feel you're genuinely trying to help them.

That's something I'll be thinking about more.
Because if trust starts before the sale...
Then maybe the real question isn't:
"How do I get more clients?"
It's:
**"What am I doing every day that helps people feel safe enough to trust me?"**

I'd love to hear your thoughts.
What makes *you* trust someone enough to ask for their help?

The Why Behind the Click #5

Here's something I've noticed.

People rarely hesitate because they don't want the outcome.

They hesitate because they're uncertain about the journey.

They wonder:

"Will this really help me?"

"Is it worth the investment?"

"What if it isn't what I expected?"

Those questions don't disappear just because your event page has all the details.

They're answered through trust.

Credibility.

Proof.

Clear outcomes.

And consistent follow-up.

The more I study buyer behaviour, the more I realize this:

People don't buy because they're convinced.

They buy because enough uncertainty has been removed.

That's why improving conversions isn't always about changing your page.

Sometimes it's about understanding the questions people are asking themselves before they ever click "Register."

I'm curious...

What usually gives you the confidence to finally say "yes" to an event or offer?

The Why Behind the Click #4

Why do some events get thousands of visitors...
..but struggle to fill seats?

Because attention and action are two different things.

Getting someone to visit your page is one achievement.

Helping them believe your event is worth their time is another.

Traffic creates opportunity.

It doesn't guarantee decisions.

Sometimes the biggest opportunity isn't finding more visitors.

It's understanding why your current visitors aren't taking the next step.

Every person who leaves your page is silently answering a question.

The challenge is discovering what that question was.

Because once you understand why people hesitate...

You can start removing the friction that keeps them from registering.

I'd love to hear your thoughts.

If you had to choose one, would you focus on getting more traffic or improving conversions first?

The Why Behind the Click #3

"I'll register later."

It's probably one of the most expensive sentences in event marketing.

Not because people are lying.

Because they genuinely mean it.

The problem is...

Later competes with everything else.

Work.

Family.

Notifications.

Meetings.

Life.

Every day that passes gives your event more opportunities to be forgotten.

This is why timing matters so much.

People don't always need more information.

Sometimes they simply need the right reminder at the right moment.

The question isn't:

"How do I convince them?"

It's:

"How do I stay top of mind until they're ready to decide?"

What do you think?

When you say "I'll do it later," what usually gets in the way?

The Why Behind the Click #2
Why do people show genuine interest in your event.....and still never register?

It's easy to assume they weren't interested enough.
But that's rarely the whole story.

Most people don't consciously decide not to attend.
They simply don't decide.
Life gets busy.
Something else grabs their attention.
The excitement they felt yesterday slowly fades.

Interest isn't the same as commitment.
That's why successful event marketing isn't just about getting people to your registration page.

It's about helping them move from:
"I'm curious."
to
"This is something I don't want to miss."

The question isn't:
"How do I get more visitors?"
It's:
"What helps an interested person finally say yes?"

That's the real gap between interest and registration.

I'm curious...
What's the biggest reason you think interested people never complete their registration?

Your event page might have all the information people need...
And still not get enough registrations.
That's because information doesn't create action.
Information reduces confusion.
Action requires motivation.
Action requires trust.
Action requires proof.
Action requires timing.

I see many coaches spend weeks perfecting their event page:
✔️ Event details
✔️ Agenda
✔️ FAQs
✔️ Registration information

Everything is there.
Yet registrations come in slower than expected.

Why?

Because most people don't make decisions the moment they land on a page.
They get distracted.
They get busy.
They tell themselves they'll come back later.
And then they forget.

This is where the gap between information and action becomes clear.

People don't take action simply because they understand what an event is.
They take action when they believe it's worth their time, energy, and investment.
That's why outcomes, credibility, proof, follow-up, and timing matter.
Your event page isn't the problem.

But information alone rarely fills seats.

The real question is:
What happens between someone's interest and their decision to register?
That's often where the biggest opportunity exists.

What do you think?
Have you ever had plenty of interest but fewer registrations than expected?
