Back in 2014, I remember taking out a loan for my first laptop—a modest 15,000-peso investment. It ran on an Intel Celeron processor, and I had to downgrade it from Windows 8 to Windows 7 just to get AutoCAD working smoothly. It wasn’t much, but it was the first step toward what would eventually become AGM Engineering Services and other ventures. Over a decade later, this laptop is still working.
By 2020, I made a big leap and bought my first gaming laptop—an ASUS ROG, paid in cash. It was a far cry from the Celeron-powered laptop I started with. Then, just three years later, I invested in my first gaming PC, which cost almost twice as much as the laptop, again paid in full.
None of this came easy—I worked two or three jobs at a time, staying relentless in my pursuit of something better. There were days when rest was a luxury, and balancing everything felt like a challenge, but I kept the bigger picture in mind. There were moments of doubt and exhaustion, but giving up was never an option.
If you ask if the road was easy, it wasn’t—but the journey has been worth every step. This isn’t about material success; it’s about realizing the goals and dreams I set out for myself. Not to boast, but to reflect on where we’ve been and how far we’ve come, while still looking ahead. I’m content with the progress, but always hungry for more growth and change.
A special part of this journey has been the support of my wife, who stood by me through all the ups and downs. More than anything, this journey has taught me that persistence always pays off. The challenges along the way are what shape you, and while I’m proud of what’s been achieved, the journey isn’t over. The best is still ahead, and I’m excited for what’s next.
