If you're going to commit yourself to something, it's just as easy to do something big, as it is to do something small. Both will consume your time and energy. So make your fantasy worthy of your pursuit.
Time will pass either way. The same late nights, the same overthinking, the same effort, why waste them on something that doesn't light you up? Playing small doesn’t save you from being tired, it just leaves you tired and unfulfilled. If you’re going to show up, show up for what matters. Study what you care about. Build the work that lives in your head. Love in a way that’s honest, not halfway. Your energy is a limited resource and let it water the dreams that could actually grow.
Big doesn’t mean perfect or fast. It means true. Break the “big” into tiny moves, one message, one page, one hour of practice, one brave ask. Little steps stack. One day you look back and realize you built something real while everyone else waited to feel ready. Fear will tell you to shrink so you don’t fail. But you can fail at small things too and that hurts more, because deep down you knew you wanted more. Better to stumble chasing what’s real than succeed at what never mattered.
So if you’re going to spend yourself anyway, spend yourself on what could change you. Do the thing that wakes you up inside. Let your effort go somewhere worthy. Your future self is watching, give them a life they’ll be proud to inherit. 🖤✨
