🇵🇭 Happy Independence Day, Philippines! 🇵🇭

Today, we celebrate the courage, sacrifices, and resilience of the heroes who fought for the freedom we enjoy today. As students and members of this generation, may we continue to honor their legacy not only by remembering our history but also by being responsible, compassionate, and proud Filipinos.

Freedom is not just a gift from the past—it is a responsibility we carry into the future. Let us use our voices, talents, and actions to help build a better nation for everyone.

Maligayang Araw ng Kalayaan! Mabuhay ang Pilipinas! ❤️💙💛

✨ “𝐒𝐇𝐀𝐊𝐄𝐍, 𝐁𝐔𝐓 𝐍𝐄𝐕𝐄𝐑 𝐒𝐇𝐀𝐓𝐓𝐄𝐑𝐄𝐃. 𝐁𝐑𝐎𝐊𝐄𝐍, 𝐁𝐔𝐓 𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐃𝐘 𝐓𝐎 𝐁𝐔𝐈𝐋𝐃.” ✨

True leaders are not defined by how they stand in times of comfort, but how they rise after the ground beneath them shakes. Following the devastating earthquake of September 30, 2025, the Supreme Student Government of Cebu Technological University - San Remigio Extension brings you this year's leadership training with a profound purpose. Derived from the Latin word meaning "to rise again," 𝐑𝐄𝐒𝐔𝐑𝐆𝐎 serves as our collective anthem of resilience, a powerful reminder that out of destruction comes the opportunity to rebuild a community that is unyielding, focused, and deeply rooted in service.

This summit is anchored on the core foundations of 𝐑𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲, 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞, and 𝐑𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐰𝐚𝐥. As student leaders, we are called to embody the true spirit of 𝐑𝐄𝐒𝐔𝐑𝐆𝐎: 𝐑ecovery from adversity, 𝐄ndurance through trials, 𝐒trength in character, 𝐔nity in action, 𝐑enewal of purpose, 𝐆rowth through challenges, and unwavering 𝐎ptimism for the future. We are not just returning to how we were before; we are transforming our shared experiences into a blueprint for a more empowered student body

Guided by the powerful theme, “𝐑𝐈𝐒𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐒𝐓𝐑𝐎𝐍𝐆𝐄𝐑, 𝐋𝐄𝐀𝐃𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐁𝐑𝐀𝐕𝐄𝐑, 𝐑𝐄𝐁𝐔𝐈𝐋𝐃𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐓𝐎𝐆𝐄𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐑,” the 2026 Local Leadership Summit challenges every participant to step up and take the helm.

Together, we will navigate the path forward, forging brave leaders who do not fear the ruins, but instead use them as the very foundation to build a brighter, stronger tomorrow for 𝐂𝐓𝐔-𝐒𝐑𝐄.

🎭 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐛𝐲 𝐏𝐨𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, 𝐍𝐨𝐭 𝐛𝐲 𝐄𝐱𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐞𓀡🎭

Becoming a leader is earned through experience, embodying responsibilities, and sometimes through the votes of others. 𝗕𝘂𝘁 𝗱𝗼𝗲𝘀 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝗻 𝘄𝗲 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗶𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗱? 𝗗𝗼𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗶𝘁𝗹𝗲 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝘀𝗶𝘁 𝗯𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗿𝗲𝗹𝗮𝘅?

A leadership title alone does not make someone an effective leader. Holding a position without doing the responsibilities that come with it fails to obtain the true meaning of becoming a leader. Being a leader is not just about having a title, it is about doing your duties and helping others.

As many would ask, "𝗡𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗺𝗼𝗹𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗮𝗿 𝘂𝗴 𝘂𝘀𝗮 𝗸𝗮 𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗶𝘀𝘆𝗼𝗻 𝗸𝘂𝗻𝗴 𝗱𝗶𝗹𝗶 𝗱𝗶𝗮𝘆 𝗺𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗵𝗼𝗸 𝘀𝗮 𝗺𝗴𝗮 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗱𝗮𝗱 𝘂𝗴 𝗯𝘂𝗹𝘂𝗵𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗻?" A title can be given, but true leadership is shown through fulfilling the responsibilities.

Some people in higher positions enjoy the title and authority that come with it. They see the position as a good addition to their name, but fail to help their fellow leaders, contribute to the organization, provide support, and most importantly, serve the people.

One of the main reasons leaders are elected or appointed is 𝘁𝗼 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗱 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗽 𝗮𝗱𝗱𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝘃𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗼𝘂𝘀 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗯𝗹𝗲𝗺𝘀. But how can they solve problems if they are the problem in the first place? 𝘓𝘦𝘢𝘥𝘦𝘳𝘴 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘮𝘦𝘢𝘯𝘵 𝘵𝘰 𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘥 𝘰𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘴, 𝙣𝙤𝙩 𝙗𝙚𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙚 𝙖 𝙗𝙪𝙧𝙙𝙚𝙣 𝙩𝙤 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙞𝙧 𝙛𝙚𝙡𝙡𝙤𝙬 𝙡𝙚𝙖𝙙𝙚𝙧𝙨. The best leaders are remembered for their service, not their titles.

June is a time to honor the LGBTQIA+ community and recognize its contributions, experiences, and diversity.

This celebration encourages understanding, respect, and inclusion while reminding us of the importance of equal rights and opportunities for everyone.

May this month inspire us to create spaces where people can express themselves freely and be accepted for who they are.
