DANGILAG 3.0 CONTINUES IN STO. TOMAS COLLEGE, DANAO CITY, INC.
In preparation for the upcoming Division Schools Press Conference, the aspiring young journalists of Sto. Tomas College, Danao City, Inc. convened in the Audio Visual Room for the second day of Dangilag 3.0 Seminar-Workshop, themed โTruth Under Pressure: Navigating Disinformation and Rebuilding Media Trust.โ The event continued on November 27, 2025, with renewed enthusiasm and a shared commitment to journalistic excellence.
The day formally opened with an invocation, followed by the singing of the Philippine National Anthem. Afterwards, Ms. Yayiene Baldespiรฑosa, School Paper Adviser of The Insights, delivered her welcoming remarks, setting the tone for a meaningful and enriching session. This was followed by an inspirational message from Ma. Cassandra Tambus, Assistant Editor-in-Chief of The Insights, who encouraged her fellow campus journalists to embrace curiosity and uphold truth in their writing.
The resource speakers from The Working Hand, the official student publication of Cebu Technological University โ Danao Campus, were then introduced virtually, along with their respective areas of expertise. Each participant received a designated Google Meet link that directed them to their assigned category, allowing them to engage in focused, interactive sessions with their respective speakers.
The roster of resource speakers included Ms. Niรฑa Marie Longakit for Feature and Literary Writing, Mr. Kim Adrian Batoon for Editorial Cartooning, Ms. Mary Chytel Remo for Editorial and Column Writing, and Mr. Jozh Charbie Oflas for Photojournalism. These esteemed journalists generously shared their knowledge, experiences, and practical insights, enriching the skills of the young campus scribes of Sto. Tomas College, Danao City, Inc.
With passion, teamwork, and a steadfast dedication to truthful storytelling, the Dangilag 3.0 Seminar-Workshop continues to empower the next generation of campus journalistsโpreparing them not only for the DSPC, but for the greater responsibility of responsible and ethical journalism.
