We grew up sharing one room and one bed, side by side through every season of life. Even now, I still sleep in the same room, holding on to our morning rituals—waking up, sharing a smoke and coffee, chatting quietly before breakfast. Nothing has to change. I will keep doing these things, just as we always did. The only difference now is that I can no longer see you😢💔 but I still feel your presence with me, as strong as ever. I will always save your seat next to me, brother. Sleep together, smoke together, eat together—these moments are forever etched in my heart. I miss you with every beat of my heart. I hope and pray that you are happy now and at peace. You will always be loved, now and forever.

Before, I didn’t truly understand the pain of losing a family member. I knew it would hurt—I knew it was supposed to hurt—but I never fully grasped how deep that pain could go until I experienced it myself. Losing my brother brought a pain so intense it felt like it reached my very soul, a kind of hurt that never really heals, a heaviness I carry inside every day.
It’s an experience that becomes part of your daily life. Even in the middle of chaos, you can suddenly feel numb, overwhelmed by the memory of your loss. The pain never really leaves; it stays with you for the rest of your life. It’s something you can only truly understand once you’ve gone through it yourself.
My advice to everyone is to take the chance and opportunity that God still gives us by keeping our loved ones beside us in this world. Tell them how much you care and love them. Hug them tightly and let them feel your deepest love and care, because one day, without warning, they could be gone forever. Don’t let that day come and leave you with regrets about the things you wish you had done when they were still alive.

Heavenly Father, Lord Jesus Christ, and Blessed Mother Mary,

In this time of calamity and uncertainty, extend Your divine protection over our family and the entire nation of the Philippines. Shield every home and every heart from harm. Calm the trembling earth and silence the storms that bring fear and destruction.

Surround us with Your heavenly angels, that no danger may come near. Strengthen our faith, fill us with peace, and guide us through every trial with courage and hope.

May Your mercy cover our land, bringing safety, healing, and restoration to all who are affected. Let Your light shine upon us, dispelling fear and despair, and may Your love be our refuge and strength.

Through the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary and all the saints, grant that this calamity may cease, and that our nation may find peace and protection under Your mighty hand.
