Shadows represent challenges, doubts, and even attempts to silence the truth. But no matter how strong those lurking in the dark, The Immaculate will continue to shine with honesty and courage.

As we present the newly elected Editorial Board & Staff of The Immaculate A.Y 2025-2026, we also celebrate the passing of the torch to a new set of storytellers and truth seekers. We carry with us the responsibility of writing and giving voice to justice, integrity, and truth-everything that matters. Like a ray of light never fading in the dark, our work will envision to guide and inspire as we believe journalism does not stop in reporting, we also stand firm even when shadows overwhelm us.

On August 20, 2025, Divine Word College of Vigan held a reorientation program for Second Year to Fourth Year students. The activity was spearheaded by the heads and staff of the different offices, who delivered briefings on the schoolโ€™s rules, regulations, and grading system. Freshmen and transfer students actively participated in Panagpasangbay Day 2, focusing on student benefits in various organizations and departments within the campus.

The program proper featured a Psychosocial Activity, allowing students to express their emotions and freedom of choice. This activity was facilitated by the Guidance Counseling department.

Overall, freshies embarked on a fresh start and a new journey, setting the stage for a year filled with growth, learning, and unforgettable experiences.

Divine Word College of Vigan officially opened the school year with a warm welcome for our students. The highlight of the morning was the welcome address by E. Francis S. Asuncion, MAEd, Students Affairs Director, who encouraged everyone to embrace new beginnings, strive for academic excellence, and live out the DWCV core values in every endeavor.

The program also featured presentations from student leaders, including the Central Board of Students, The Immaculate, and various student organizations. Each shared their roles and contributions in creating an engaging, supportive, and value-driven campus environment. Performances from talented students brought excitement and energy to the gathering. ๐Ÿ’›๐Ÿ’™

Please keep us safe, O God.
Protect our families, our homes, and our community.
Watch over those who have no shelter,
And give strength to those who help and rescue others.

Calm our hearts, Lord, and remind us that You are always with us.
