๐๐ฎ๐ฐ๐ต ๐ฆ๐๐ฒ๐ฝ ๐๐ผ๐๐ป๐๐ | Recognition and Welcoming of SNED Learners
Last Tuesday morning, July 15, Compostela National High School (CNHS) was proud host for the Send-Off and Acceptance Program, which seeks to give well-deserved recognition of the efforts invested by the past learners of the Special Needs Education (SNED), and the induction of new SNED students into the program. It was conducted at Bantawan Hall to the applause of many, including special visitors from the local government unit and the school division administration.
Present to meet the distinguished learners in the ceremony was Ma'am Phoebe Gay L. Refamonte, Schools Division Superintendent; Hon. Mayor Levi Ebdao; and School Principal IV Sandy G. Yee. Also amongst them were the SNED educators who made the SNED program a successful and fruitful endeavour, as well as their parents.
SNED learners, even if faced with discrimination and their disadvantaged nature, continue to persevere and shine brightly amongst the crowd. They are special in their own individual ways, and excel in many talents that makes them truly unique, from dancing to singing; from learning to playing. Like the achievements of all students, recognition of these talents, their individuality, and their performance should be fostered and equally celebrated.
With the inclusive and charitable environment of CNHS, many parents of special needs children are also inclined to enrolling them in the school's SNED system, through the recent program's acceptance ceremony. Thus, this goes to show that CNHS is not just for a select group of people but for everyone, of all creeds, races, and circumstance; it is a place where you can be protected and can truly be you.
