The youths needs to experience the anointing of the Holy Spirit! They need to experience the reality of the Word of God! They need to witness the demonstration of the power of the Holy Spirit! Give them a man of God full of faith, full of wisdom and full of the Holy Spirit!

YOUTH ARE LEAVING THE CHURCH

And that's partly BECAUSE of how churches treat our young people. We treat them like they are either (1) stupid, (2) only full of emotion and desire, or (3) both!

For some strange reason, churches think they have to "dumb down" Biblical, theological, and philosophical content because "youth can't understand it."

Wait, youth can't understand complex concepts???

Youth are taught to understand CALCULUS in school.
Youth are taught to understand CHEMISTRY in school.
Youth are taught to understand PHYSICS in school.

The problem really isn't that "youth can't understand," is it?

No. The real problem is that youth pastors don't have answers to the tough questions youth ask because they haven't put the time or effort into studying and learning these answers themselves.

The problem isn't the youth; the problem is the youth leaders.

Church: we need to STEP UP OUR GAME! If teenagers can understand calculus and physics in school, then they can understand complex biblical, theological, and philosophical concepts.

They don't need more snacks.
They don't need a "hot" pastor.
They don't need manipulative gimmicks.

They need AUTHENTIC leaders who are EQUIPPED to give GOOD, RATIONAL, and REASONABLE response to their questions, and then help guide them deeper in the Christian faith.

Snacks are not answers to deep questions.
Hot pastors are not solutions to Christ-likeness.
Manipulative gimmicks are not teachers of the truth.

Church, it's time to step up;

We need to take our youths questions/concerns seriously.
We need to answer our youths questions/concerns carefully.
We need to teach them the Word of God truthfully.

It's time to 1 Peter 3:15.

ANUMAN ANG ITINUTURO MO AY DAPAT GINAGAWA MO.

"Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it." -Proverbs 22:6

Madali lang turuan ang mga bata dahil marunong silang mang-gaya, 'what children see, children do.'

Bilang isang magulang malaki ang bahagi natin upang lumaki ng maayos ang ating mga anak. Kaya maging mabuting halimbawa tayo sakanila.

Sa madaling salita:
-Huwag iinom ng inumin na ayaw mong inumin ng iyong anak.
-Huwag kakain ng pagkain na ayaw mong kainin ng iyong anak.
-Huwag manunuod ng mga palabas na ayaw mong panuorin ng iyong anak.
-Huwag magsabi ng mga salita na ayaw mong sabihin ng iyong anak.
-Huwag ugaliin ang ayaw mong ugaliin din ng iyong anak
-Huwag gumawa ng bisyo na ayaw mong maging bisyo ng iyong anak.

Sa madaling sabi, gawin at sabihin mo lang yung mga bagay na makakabuti para sa iyong anak.

Huwag mong isipin na wala kang kwenta. Ang totoo niyan mayroon kang talento na magbibigay halaga sayo at makakatulong sa iba. May purpose kung bakit pinahintulutan ng Diyos na mabuhay ka sahenerasyon na ito.

Kung nais mong malaman ang halaga mo, purpose at potential na mayroon ka, kilalanin mo ang Diyos sa pamamagitan ni Jesu-Cristo dahil ikaw ay nilikha ng Diyos sa Kanyang imahe at wangis.
