Stop expecting clients to explain everything.
One thing that surprises a lot of beginner VAs is how incomplete some client instructions can be.
Minsan you’re expecting a detailed SOP, tapos ang message lang is, “Can you organize our leads and follow up with them?”
Now you have questions.
Which leads should I prioritize?
What counts as qualified?
What CRM are we using?
When should I follow up?
What should I say?
How many times should I contact them?
And this is where problem-solving becomes a real VA skill.
Instead of guessing, break the request down first.
Figure out what information you already have, what you can research yourself, and what you actually need to clarify with the client.
You could reply:
“Got it. I can handle this. Before I start, can I confirm which leads you want prioritized and how often you’d like me to follow up? I’ll also review the current CRM setup and existing messages so I can follow your process.”
That response feels very different from simply saying, “Sure!”
You’re showing the client that you can take a vague request, think through the process, and figure out what needs to happen next.
Super valuable yung ganitong skill once clients start giving you bigger responsibilities.
