It’s always a mystery how God speaks to us. It requires a deep connection with Him—because if you’re not attentive, it’s easy to miss His voice and misunderstand His ways. But once you build that intimate relationship with Him, you begin to see how beautifully He plans our lives. Even in the middle of storms you don’t understand, He can calm your heart and give you peace within.
When God says YES:
When a desire in your heart aligns with His will, everything flows smoothly and peacefully. Things fall into place, and doors open without struggle. You prayed for that job and He knows it will help you grow? Be ready—because He will guide you every step of the way.
When God says WAIT:
This happens when He plants a desire and gives you a vision. Sometimes, these dreams feel impossible, yet the fire in your heart never fades. It stays quietly within you, even when you don’t actively pursue it. You may forget—but God never does. He didn’t place that vision in your heart for nothing. He would take years, even a decade, to shape and prepare you. So when the time finally comes, you are ready to handle the blessing He has prepared for so long. He wants you to be a good steward of it. God gives not just according to your desire, but according to your readiness—always in His perfect timing.
When God says NO:
This is the hardest part. It’s when your heart is on fire for something you deeply want. You try to force it, even when it begins to hurt you. But God keeps closing that door because He knows it is not meant for you. Still, your stubborn heart sometimes keep chasing it.
—You applied for a job and kept getting rejected? Maybe that path isn’t for you because God has something greater ahead.
—You keep praying for a 6-digit salary, yet He sees you’re not yet ready to manage what you already have.
—That relationship that hurts you, breaks you, and fills you with insecurity? God is already telling you it’s not where you’re meant to stay.
You feel pain because you refuse to let go. But God’s rejection is often His protection. He asks you to release what’s not for you so He can give you what is truly yours. God will only give that BIG blessing when He knows you are ready—and when you fully trust Him.
So if today you are in a season of confusion, waiting, or even heartbreak—hold on.
Not every closed door is a loss, and not every delay is denial.
Sometimes, it’s God rewriting your story into something far more beautiful than what you originally asked for.
Trust Him, even when it doesn’t make sense.
Because one day, you will look back and realize… every YES, every WAIT, and every NO led you exactly where you are meant to be.
