Have you ever wondered what's inside of the nose of an airplane? The nose which is also known as the radome (radar + dome = radome) houses one of the most significant equipments which is the radar antenna also called dish antenna (the round looking thing I am working on in the photo). It is a sensitive plate which transmits and receives radio waves. It also helps to detect unpleasant weather conditions by measuring the size of water droplets within the air in which the aircraft passes through.
