Jesus Defeated death so you can live
For the Christian, death is not the end of life, but the beginning of real life.
John 11:25–26 - Jesus said to her, ‘I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live, and everyone who lives and believes in me shall never die.’
For the believer, physical death is not the end, but the entrance into eternal life.
Philippians 1:21, 23 - For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain… My desire is to depart and be with Christ, for that is far better.
Death is not loss but gain because it ushers us into Christ’s presence.
Revelation 21:4 - He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.
Death brings the Christian into a world without pain, sorrow, or death itself—real life in its fullness.
For the Christian, death is not a defeat but a doorway to eternal victory in Christ.
“If the world hates you, know that it has hated Me before it hated you.”
John 15:18 (NASB)
Charlie, you were one of the voices of truth in this generation. You stood boldly, speaking with logic grounded in the Bible. You connected with the youth and encouraged them. You spoke truth to them and shone like a light, drawing others to God—just as all Christians are called to do.
To be absent from the body is to be present with Christ. Rest in peace, brother.
