During my Zyra workshop.
While waiting, I started chatting with one of the moms beside me. I asked her,
“Pila na edad ni...?” (I mentioned her daughters name.)

She smiled and said,
“She’s 6 years old. Dili lang gyud halata no?”
I replied, “As in? She’s 6? Tangkad pa siya sa anak nako na 9 years old!”

She looked shocked, “ha! Naa nakay 9 years old? Pila na diay edad nimo?”
I said, “28. And actually, naa pa siyay kuya na 10 years old.”

She laughed in surprise, “Wow! Hoy, amazing kaayo ka! Bata pa kaayo ka and naa nakay 9 and 10 years old. Maypa nagsayo na lang ko ug minyo, siguro duha na pud akoa anak now”

That short convo made me reflect.

We all have different timelines in life, some start families young, some later. There's no perfect schedule for anything, especially motherhood. What matters most is how we raise our children, how present we are, and how much love we pour into them.... regardless of age or stage.

And sometimes, hearing someone say “you’re amazing” reminds me to pause and be proud of myself too. Motherhood isn’t easy, but every day we show up, we’re doing something extraordinary. 🥰
