🌸 Description of the Snapdragon Flower:

• Color: The variety in your photo is a soft pastel pink with hints of yellow in the throat area of each bloom.

• Shape: The flowers have a tubular, dragon-like shape that resembles a mouth—when gently squeezed, the “mouth” opens and closes, hence the name “snapdragon.”

• Growth Pattern: The blossoms grow densely along a tall, upright spike, with blooms opening from the bottom upward.

• Foliage: The leaves are slender and lance-shaped, growing around the base and along the stem.
SYMBOL

Snapdragons symbolize grace and strength, and in some cultures, they’re thought to offer protection or represent deception due to their “dragon mouth.”

SINGAPORE OLD RAIL CORRIDOR

The old corridor railway in Singapore, running from Tanjong Pagar Railway Station to Johor Bahru, was once a vital transport link between Singapore and Malaysia. Operated by Keretapi Tanah Melayu (KTM), it began in the colonial era and carried passengers and goods across the Causeway. The line passed through lush greenery, residential areas, and hidden bridges, creating a unique path through the island. Tanjong Pagar Station, opened in 1932, stood as a grand terminus. When train services ceased in 2011, the railway corridor became a beloved memory.

Today, it lives on as the Rail Corridor, repurposed for walking and nature.
