Today, our country, the Philippines, marks 127 years of independence, honoring a legacy built on courage, sacrifice, and unwavering hope.
With the theme of โ๐๐ฎ๐น๐ฎ๐๐ฎ๐ฎ๐ป, ๐๐ถ๐ป๐ฎ๐ฏ๐๐ธ๐ฎ๐๐ฎ๐ป, ๐๐ฎ๐๐ฎ๐๐๐ฎ๐๐ฎ๐ปโ, this reminds us of the freedom our ancestors bravely fought for โ the future they envisioned for generations to come, and the history that continues to shape our national identity.
Many connotative meanings can be coined from the word "Independence". A word like this can mean gaining freedom from foreign colonizers that causes poverty, injustice, ignorance, and inequality amongst everyone.
Despite the bountiful of definitions there are, the essence remains the same โ independence is just what's keeping everyone together, in hopes for a brighter, freer future for every Filipino.
Their heroism changed the course of history. Today, we are called to do our part in a different way, through service, advocacy, daily acts of kindness and courage.
