My journey in Social Media Marketing began in 2009 with my first startup company involved in selling flight tickets and hotel accommodation using Facebook. That business failed but it did not stop me from finding the right opportunity for me.
Throughout the years, I have tried working in the hospitality industry, I had the experience of becoming an Expedia Travel Agent Affiliate and Google Adsense Partner.
I have witnessed the growth of many startups in Southeast Asia - becoming part of the first few customers of Gojek in Indonesia, Grab and Traveloka.
I used to build stores for Shopify and now have a running Lazada shop in the Philippines.
In 2013 I was introduced to a direct selling business, partnering with a US-based company.
The adventure continued when I moved to Singapore then to Indonesia where I first created my independent sales team. I had the greatest opportunity of my life to become one of the pioneers in introducing our company in Indonesia.
During that expansion, I had to go back and remember my key skills and strengths - digital marketing. It helped me to develop the strategies that made that expansion a success.
I am inspired by this idea of service. I believe that the greatest form of charity is not only about giving the fish but also empowering people to learn new skills and ideas that will help them to fish better.
I hope that my 10 years of both offline and online marketing can help you.
I am a breadwinner too (making me understand the struggles of many families) but it did not stop me from becoming self-employed for over 4 years while traveling over 33 cities globally.
Life can be tough but victories are won only by those people trying to win.
