The Commission on Higher Education is pleased to inform interested parties of the call for applications to The Indonesian Aid Scholarship (TIAS) Program for 2026 offered by the Government of the Republic of Indonesia.

The Indonesian Aid Scholarship (TIAS) Program for 2026 is designed to strengthen human capital development and foster long-term partnerships between Indonesia and its partner countries through quality higher education. The program is open to interested individuals, especially civil servants, lecturers, and government officials from fifty-six (56) target countries including the Philippines, to pursue diploma, bachelor’s, master’s, and doctorate degrees at any of the twenty-five (25) participating Indonesian higher education institutions.

Attached is the list of complete documentary requirements for submission to the CHED International Affairs Service (IAS) on or before 14 April 2026 through email at [email protected]. Similarly, interested parties are likewise encouraged to contact their preferred host institutions for the additional set of requirements for submission. Applicants who will successfully pass the CHED-IAS’ screening will be officially endorsed to the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Manila for the next phase of the selection process.

The University of Mindanao (UM) — ranked 1301–1400 in Asia and =203 in South-Eastern Asia — joins the previously ranked Ateneo de Davao University (AdDU), currently 851–900 in Asia and =144 in South-Eastern Asia, and the University of Southeastern Philippines (USeP), ranked 1201–1300 in Asia and =185 in South-Eastern Asia, in the QS World University Rankings: Asia 2026.

This recognition highlights the growing presence of Davao Region’s higher education institutions in the Asian academic landscape and their continued commitment to excellence, innovation, and global competitiveness.

Dr. Padolina is an Academician under the Mathematical and Physical Sciences Division of the National Academy of Science and Technology, Philippines (NAST PHL) and served as its President from 2013 to 2015.

He is currently a Senior Fellow of the Southeast Asian Center for Graduate Study and Research in Agriculture (SEARCA) and the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Euromed Laboratories Philippines, Inc.

A renowned scientist and research leader, Dr. Padolina has made pioneering contributions in natural products chemistry, coconut chemistry, biotechnology and research and development management. He is also a co-author of the widely used textbook “Society, Science and Technology.”
