On ๐—๐˜‚๐—ป๐—ฒ ๐Ÿฎ๐Ÿต, ๐Ÿฎ๐Ÿฌ๐Ÿฎ๐Ÿฒ, the Mobile Library Team, together with the dedicated ๐—จ๐—ฆ๐—˜๐—ฃ-๐—•๐—Ÿ๐—œ๐—ฆ ๐—ถ๐—ป๐˜๐—ฒ๐—ฟ๐—ป๐˜€, visited Jose Bastida Elementary School to bring literacy programs and disaster preparedness education to the learners.

Students enjoyed engaging book reading and storytelling sessions that inspired imagination and nurtured a love for reading. ๐Ÿ“–โœจ They also explored the Mobile Library Bus, where they participated in an interactive reading session and discovered a variety of books inside the bookmobile. ๐Ÿš๐Ÿ“š

Meanwhile, Grade 6 learners attended a Disaster Preparedness Orientation, where they learned the fundamentals of Basic Life Support (BLS) and First Aid, equipping them with essential knowledge and practical skills for emergency situations. ๐Ÿฉน๐ŸŒช๏ธ

On ๐—๐˜‚๐—ป๐—ฒ ๐Ÿฎ๐Ÿฑ, ๐Ÿฎ๐Ÿฌ๐Ÿฎ๐Ÿฒ, the Mobile Library Team, together with the dedicated USEP-BLIS interns, visited Upper Tamugan Elementary School to bring books and meaningful learning experiences to the students.

The USEP-BLIS interns conducted interactive storytelling sessions in the learners' classrooms, encouraging imagination and a love for reading. ๐Ÿ“–โœจ Students also explored the Mobile Library Bus, where they enjoyed a guided reading session and discovered a variety of books inside the bookmobile. ๐Ÿš๐Ÿ“š

The program began with a warm welcome remarks by ๐‰๐Ž๐Ÿ‘ ๐Œ๐ข๐œ๐ก๐ž๐ฅ๐ž ๐Œ๐š๐ฎ๐ซ๐ข๐œ๐ข๐จ, followed by an inspiring message from ๐Œ๐ฌ. ๐’๐š๐ฅ๐จ๐ฆ๐ž ๐„๐ง๐จ๐œ, ๐‹๐ข๐›๐ซ๐š๐ซ๐ข๐š๐ง ๐ˆ๐• ๐š๐ง๐ ๐‚๐ข๐ญ๐ฒ ๐‹๐ข๐›๐ซ๐š๐ซ๐ข๐š๐ง, highlighting the importance of libraries in empowering communities through knowledge.

An orientation on the proper handling of library information sources was facilitated by ๐Œ๐ซ. ๐„๐ฅ๐ฆ๐ž๐ซ ๐€๐ฆ๐š๐ซ๐ข๐ฅ๐ฅ๐จ, ๐‹๐ข๐›๐ซ๐š๐ซ๐ข๐š๐ง ๐ˆ๐ˆ, ๐š๐ง๐ ๐Œ๐ฌ. ๐†๐ž๐ง๐ž๐ฏ๐ข๐ž๐ฏ๐ž ๐“๐š๐ ๐ฎ๐๐ข๐ง, ๐‹๐ข๐›๐ซ๐š๐ซ๐ข๐š๐ง ๐ˆ๐ˆ, helping participants appreciate and care for library materials. The activity also featured a reading session, where the PDL enjoyed books from the The Book Nook Davao City Library and Information Center.

Adding more joy to the event were lively dance and singing intermissions performed by the PDL and the staff of DCLIC, creating a vibrant and uplifting atmosphere.
