𝐅𝐨𝐫 𝐲𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐬, 𝐦𝐲 𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐞 𝐚𝐬 𝐚 𝐕𝐢𝐫𝐭𝐮𝐚𝐥 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐝𝐞𝐟𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐝 𝐛𝐲 𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠: 𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠.

The work flexibility was great, but my body started to protest. I stood up and felt my legs stiffen, my back ached, my energy dipped.

That’s when I knew I had to make a change. I decided that no matter how busy work got, I would dedicate time to walking, jogging, and reconnecting with nature.

Active made it easier: their jogging socks kept my runs comfy, and their collapsible tumbler ensured I stayed hydrated.

Now, I balance screen time with movement. As a work from home VA we should move, breathe, and invest in gear that supports our journey.

Your body (and mind) will thank you! 😉🫶🏻

Update: I rate this 5/10 🤦🏻‍♀️ I’ve been using this ergonomic mouse for a while now, but unfortunately, it has a major drawback: it drains the battery very quickly. In fact, the battery lasts only around 3 weeks, even though I’ve been using branded batteries. Since I bought this mouse, I’ve already had to change the battery THREE TIMES, which is quite frustrating as a VA na busy. While the design is comfortable, the poor battery life significantly affects its overall performance. Haynako

Five years ago, all I had was a laggy computer, and a heart full of determination. Little did I know, that shaky start would lead me to where I am today...

Five years ago, I stared at my screen, frustration bubbling up as my old computer struggled to keep up. The cursor spun in endless circles, mocking my impatience. How am I supposed to continue this career if my own computer won’t even cooperate?

But deep down, I knew this wasn’t just about a slow device. It was about hope.

Those early days were far from glamorous. I worked late into the night, my screen’s glow the only light in my tiny workspace. There were moments I wanted to quit—when technology failed me, when doubts crept in. I’m glad I did not give up even though I informed them I would want to.

Today, when that memory popped up on my phone screen, I couldn’t help but be shocked. That computer (now retired!) was the humble beginning of a career that changed my life.

To anyone just starting out—whether your Wi-Fi is weak, your desk is your bed, or your doubts are loud—keep going!

Because sometimes, the shakiest starts lead to the strongest stories.

Here’s to five years of growth, gratitude, and proving that passion can outshine any obstacle. 🤍

When I first created my page as a virtual assistant, I saw it as just another tool. A way to grow my reach, attract clients, and build my brand. But today, something changed. A beginner reached out to me, her message timid but hopeful, asking for guidance on how to start her own VA journey.

At first, I hesitated. Should I really share what I know? What if my knowledge is not enough? 𝐈𝐭 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧 𝐭𝐨𝐨𝐤 𝐦𝐞 𝟑𝟎 𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐮𝐭𝐞𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐚𝐩 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐟𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭 𝐥𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫.

But then I remembered how lost I felt when I first started. So, I replied. I shared tips, resources, and even a few hard-earned lessons. Her gratitude was overwhelming.

That’s when it hit me: having a page isn’t just about visibility, it’s about responsibility.

Every post, every reply, every interaction carries weight. Someone out there is looking for hope, for guidance, for someone to say, *"You can do this."* And who am I to withhold help just because we might compete one day?

I now choose to see my page as more than a business tool. It’s a space to lift others up, to share knowledge freely, and to remind fellow VAs beginners or veterans that they’re not alone.
