Success is often measured by effort, skill, and perseverance, but true and lasting achievement is shaped by something far greater- God`s wisdom. A journey to earning Career Executive Service Eligibility (CESE) is filled with challenges, faith, and divine guidance.

The CESE is highly regarded certification awarded to public sector executives who demonstrate exceptional competence, leadership, and commitment to service. For school principals, achieving this certification signifies a deeper understanding of governance, management, and policy implementation- key elements in driving educational success.

Sir Brian B. Banzon, Principal of Marilog Central Elementary School, is a testament of triumph through God’s grace. From the beginning, he knew that his career was not just a personal pursuit but a calling from God. The path to obtaining CESE was not easy. It required rigorous assessments, continuous learning, and unwavering commitment. But beyond the technical requirements, he knew that true success would only come if we sought God`s wisdom. Sir Brian took the assessment with unwavering faith in God and trust in His eternal guidance, seeking not only to pass the exam but to embrace the experience as a testament to His strength and wisdom. “I always thank God for the opportunity to take the exam”, he shared. “Everything is a learning experience, failure is the best teacher”, he continued.

Colleagues have expressed their admiration for Sir Brian`s dedication. “Sir Brian, our esteemed school principal, is a leader who values collaboration and trust. He is approachable to his teachers, always open to their ideas and supportive of their professional growth. His leadership is built on mutual respect, allowing educators to thrive in an environment where their capabilities are recognized and appreciated” said Ma`am Teresa R. Sariana, Kinder Teacher of Marilog Central ES.

With the CESE certification now in hand though waiting for conferment by the Career Executive Service Board, Sir Brian envisions a future where schools are not just institutions of learning but academic communities that nurture growth and innovation. He aims to continue his leadership principle, allowing everyone and every organization within the community to grow and shine individually.

To anyone pursuing a similar goal, “Find your purpose, work on that purpose so you can live with legacy, with impact on the community”, he stated.

Indeed, Sir Brian is more than just a school head – he is a beacon of inspiration, proving that great things can be achieved with determination, a heart for service, and great faith in God.

Tucked away in the heart of Davao City lies Marilog Central District, a vibrant community that proudly showcases its rich ethnic heritage and dynamic school culture. This district is the home of 15 public elementary schools, each with its unique story to tell. Under the leadership of the Principal In Charge Eric A. Amistad Principal IV, the district is abuzz with activity.

One of the district’s key initiatives is its commitment to fostering a strong school publication. “KODTIHIS,” or “The Ripples”, is the official publication of Marilog Central District. It serves as a powerful tool in disseminating valuable announcements, achievements, current news, and events that keep the public well-informed and engaged. Through the initiative of Brian B. Banzon, Principal I of Marilog Central Elementary School, the name “KODTIHIS” was developed. The term was translated by Rovielyn Lapinoza, School Head of Cadalian National High School into IP language while Mariel Febe A. Nasol, Teacher 2 of Kibangay Elementary School designed the layout.

Furthermore, the name ‘KODTIHIS” is deeply rooted in the district’s cultural heritage. This Obo Manobo term means “The Ripples” symbolizing the small waves that spread across the water's surface. In this, context, the educators’ inputs are the droplets that create these ripples, while the learners are the recipients of this knowledge. This powerful metaphor highlights the last impact that educators can have on their students, creating a legacy that extends far beyond the classroom. As students come across their life journey, they can develop ripples by spreading their acquired knowledge, skills, and values, ultimately contributing to our nation.

As we delve into the world of “KODTIHIS”, we are reminded of the collective efforts of teachers, students, stakeholders, and the community in unveiling their potential and abilities. Together, they can create a vibrant tapestry of experiences, lessons, and growth. The ripples that emerge from this collaborative effort are a testament to the district’s commitment to upholding quality education and services.

In conclusion, “KODTIHIS” is more than just a school publication – it’s a symbol of the district’s dedication to creating a lasting impact. As we strive to make our mark, let us remember that even the smallest actions can create a significant ripple. Let us be the droplets that fall freely, merging with the water to create a wave of positive change.
