Two years laterโฆ here I am, finally MAEd it! ๐
After my oath-taking as a Licensed Professional Teacher (LPT), the very next day, I went alone to inquire at different colleges and universities about enrolling in a Masterโs Degree program.
I first went to a university, but unfortunately, their enrollment for Graduate School had already closed. Secondly, I went to HCDC. Luckily, their enrollment had been extended. I took the entrance examination alone, and by Godโs grace, I passed. ๐
At first, I was scared. As a fresh graduate, I had so many โwhat ifs.โ
What if dili nako kaya?
What if mas advanced or mas expert akong mga classmates kay halos taga-DepEd na sila? ๐
I was nervous because I knew that this journey would not be easy.
Some people told me, โGasto kaayo ang Masterโs.โ And yes, one of the biggest challenges I faced was financial.
At that time, I was a fresh graduate working as an online ESL teacher. It was not a stable job, but by Godโs grace, I was able to support myself and pay for my tuition.
Bahalag ginagmay akong sweldo ato nga time, nag-ipon jud ko little by little para mahinay-hinay nakoโg bayad sa akong school expenses.
I was also hesitant to ask my parents for financial help because I felt that they had already sacrificed so much for my educationโfrom kindergarten all the way to college.
I told myself, โEnough na ang ilang sacrifices para sa akong education. Karon, ako na pud. Kaya nako nga ako mismo ang mogasto sa akong Masterโs.โ
And through this journey, I realized that adulting is not easy. ๐
There were struggles, financial challenges, work responsibilities, deadlines, presentations, sleepless nights, and countless moments when I questioned myself.
I learned how to manage my time, become more independent, and step outside my comfort zone.
I was born a shy person. Many people know me as someone who is quiet and reserved. But this journey taught me to challenge myselfโto stand in front of people, speak with confidence, and believe that I am capable.
Every time I had a presentation or had to face a crowd, I would quietly tell myself:
โLord, tabangi ko. I-guide ko. Kaya nako ni basta naa Ka.โ ๐
And after every challenge, I would always say:
โThank you kaayo Lord!"๐ฅน
Then I realizedโฆ
Dili diay ako nag-inusara.
I may have walked through many moments alone, but I was never truly alone because God was always with me. โ๏ธ
There were times when I doubted myself. There were people who underestimated me. There were moments when I questioned whether I could really do it.
But I kept going.
I kept reminding myself:
I am not weak. I am capable. I can do hard things. And with God, I can.
Now, looking back, I can only say:
Thank You, Lord, for Your amazing plans and overflowing blessings. ๐โจ
2026 is truly my year.
This year, I was hired as a permanent teacher, and now, I am finally graduating with my Masterโs Degree. ๐
From a fresh graduate who was once afraid to take the first stepโฆ
to a teacher who learned to stand on her ownโฆ
to a woman who is finally made it to the finish line๐ฅน๐
Now, I can finally sign my name with a title I once only prayed for. โ๏ธ
