AS A VA: BAWAL ASSUMING!!!
Ngano lisod mag-assume? Dili nato malikayan na when receiving instructions from clients (especially sa calls), naa ta'y dili masabtan. Sometimes, we end up na mag-tando pero wala jud diay ta nakasabot. Unya dili diay to na-mao. Na, patay.

#1: Confirm your understanding
You need to make sure na same page mo sa inyo gina-storyahan. Relationships don't survive you aren't on the same page diba? Because lahi imong pagsabot sa iyahang pagsabot, sometimes, it's possible na dili mo parehas sa pagdawat sa information. So confirm your understanding with your client.
Here are 3 ways to start this off:
"Hey Client! Got this. Just want to confirm if I've understood this correctly...[Enumerate unsa imong mga nasabtan], did I get all that correctly?"
"Okay Client! Here's what I got from what we talked about... [Enumerate unsa imong mga nasabtan], just confirming if we're of the same understanding."
"Okay cool! Just want to make sure we're on the same page...here's what I got from what we talked about. [Enumerate] We good on this?"

#2: Ask questions
Wala'y mali mangutana, samot na if ang reason sa pangutana kay gusto lang nimo tarungon imong trabaho. If you have follow up questions, or there's something na dili clear sa imo, just ask. Dili ikababa sa imong pagkatao ang mangutana. This is part of doing your job well.

#3: Document your notes and loop your Client in.
Let's say done na ang inyong meeting, and na-clarify na nimo tanan with your client. Make sure to always have your written meeting notes / summary visible to your client and yourself (or whoever is concerned).
Aron ma-make sure nimo naa mo'y mabalikan in case lang naman na one of you forgets, or misremembers something. Tao lang pod inyong Client. Sometimes, sa daghan nila huna-hunaon, possible makalimot sad sila sa ilahang gipang-sugo.
You can do the documentation through email, or kung dili, sa inyong respective Project Management tool. It helps to have one area in your Project Management tool na pwede lang nimo butangan ug meeting notes -- para it's in one place.
