I saw a post about abolishing the board exam...
I find myself partially agreeing with KuryenTIPS regarding the discussion on abolishing board exams.
I agree that we need a stronger focus on specialization. Since Electrical Engineering covers such a broad range of topics, specialization would allow us to better develop the practical skills required in the industry.
However, I donโt believe abolishing the board exam is the right move at this time. Instead, I think we should adopt a model similar to how MARINA conducts its licensure: first, a theoretical exam, followed by a practical assessment to earn the license.
In my opinion, the best solution isn't to remove the exam, but to add a practical component to ensure technical competence. Thatโs my two cents!
