Sometimes I don't get up right away after I pray.

I just sit there for another minute.

Not because I'm expecting God to speak out loud.

I think it's because, after telling Him everything that's been on my mind, I don't feel the need to rush anymore.

The situation hasn't changed.

The bills are still there.

The questions are still there.

But somehow my heart is at little peace than it was a few minutes ago.

Maybe that's one of the ways God answers us.

Not by changing everything at once, but by giving us enough peace to face another day.

Lord, thank You for listening with patience when I come to You with the same worries again and again.

"I waited patiently for the Lord; He turned to me and heard my cry." (Psalm 40:1)
