[𝗔𝗗𝗩𝗜𝗦𝗢𝗥𝗬] In reference to the Memorandum Orders issued by the respective Local Government Units (LGUs) where our College and its Branches are located, Davao de Oro State College announces that the suspension of face-to-face work and classes for the Main Campus, Laak Extension Class, and the Montevista and Maragusan Branches is 𝗟𝗜𝗙𝗧𝗘𝗗 effective tomorrow, October 21, 2025.

Meanwhile, the lifting of suspension of face-to-face work and classes in DDOSC New Bataan will take effect on Wednesday, October 22, 2025.

Once again, College President Dr. Lilybeth M. Matunhay reminds everyone to remain vigilant, prioritize safety at all times, and continue monitoring official advisories from the College and local authorities.

𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝑽𝒊𝒓𝒕𝒖𝒆 𝒐𝒇 𝑺𝒖𝒓𝒗𝒊𝒗𝒂𝒍

For whom do you awake?
A Nescafé commercial asked.
One may opt to answer,
all may choose to respond—
but sadly,
in these times of dread,
life is not an advertisement.

Instead of hot morning coffee,
some are given lemons—
no aroma, no comfort.
“Make lemonade,” they say.
But what is lemonade without sugar?
Bland and sour, like failure;
citrusy, like midnight tears.

What costly fare.
I’m fine—ragged, though.
What’s for tomorrow’s life?
What did Mom pack for lunch?
Nothing. I’ll just study for P.E., then.
I don’t even have a mom.
I failed to reach it, after all.
Life goes on.

Everyone carries burdens;
that is a universal truth.
Shaken by quakes of life—
both literal and figurative.
One destroys homes,
the other, hopes and souls.

But resilient by nature,
we rebuild houses,
along with lost connections.
We carry on our studies,
our failures and misfortunes,
our life of mediocrity—

thinking that perhaps tomorrow,
we will no longer get lemons.
Perhaps the day after tomorrow,
we can have a sip of coffee.
Perhaps, in the near future,
fate brings us to paradise.

Despite all, we rise.
We rise with virtue—
the virtue of no choice.
