𝟐𝟒𝐤 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐭 𝐆𝐨𝐥𝐝 𝐏𝐞𝐫𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 🏆💃🕺🏼

The competition floor turned golden as the New Corella Splashers Dance Sports Team, both Elementary and Secondary, swept the 24 Gold Medals, alongside 24 Silver and 22 Bronze medals during the Davao del Norte Division Meet 2026.

The delegation swept an impressive total of 70 medals, which cemented the name of district as the Dancesports powerhouse.

Crowning this achievement, the gold-winning athletes have qualified for the DAVRAA Meet 2026, where they will carry the pride of New Corella District and the Division of Davao del Norte onto a larger competitive stage.

Congratulations to the athletes, coaches, administrators, and parents behind this golden victory.

Truly, this is a 24k performance, pure excellence, refined by hard work.

Not Just Fast—Fair: Deon Ramdev N. Guman Sets the Standard

In competitive sports, medals shine—but character shines brighter. Deon Ramdev N. Guman, a swimmer from the New Corella District Splashers, recently reminded everyone what true victory looks like.

Competing in a swimming event under the guidance of Coach Marissa J. Sanchez, Deon showed that integrity is just as important as speed in the pool.

During the awarding ceremony, a mix-up occurred that placed Deon in 2nd place, an honor that rightfully belonged to another athlete. Without hesitation, Deon stepped forward and surrendered the award to the rightful winner.

His decision was guided by a simple but powerful principle he carried from their delegation meeting. As Deon shared, “nahinumdum man ko sa giingon ni Sir Publico (New Corella District PSDS) during the delagation meeting na dapat honest daw ta as players”—remembering the reminder that athletes must always be honest.
When asked if he had any regrets, Deon’s answer was clear and confident: none at all.

His action sent a strong message to teammates, competitors, and the community—that winning means little if it isn’t earned the right way. Deon Ramdev N. Guman’s honesty made waves beyond the pool, inspiring young athletes everywhere to choose integrity, even when it’s not the easiest lane to swim.

𝐍𝐞𝐰 𝐂𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐚 𝐍𝐇𝐒 𝐉𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐬 𝐋𝐆𝐔 𝐂𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐧-𝐔𝐩 𝐃𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐙𝐞𝐫𝐨 𝐖𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐡 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔

New Corella, Davao del Norte — Students and teachers at New Corella National High School (NCNHS) demonstrated unity and environmental responsibility as they participated in a community clean-up drive organized by the Local Government Unit (LGU) of New Corella in celebration of Zero Waste Month 2026.

The activity, led by the Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Office (MENRO), was held on Friday, January 30, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Participants were assigned to clean the school premises and the highways leading to the sports center.

The initiative forms part of the nationwide observance of Zero Waste Month under Presidential Proclamation No. 760 and supports the implementation of Republic Act No. 9003, also known as the Ecological Solid Waste Management Act. The program aims to promote environmental awareness and responsible waste management, particularly among the youth.

Working in groups, students and faculty members collected and segregated waste materials while ensuring that designated areas were thoroughly cleaned. Teachers supervised the activity and guided students in proper waste disposal practices. The clean-up drive highlighted the importance of teamwork and cooperation in achieving a common goal. Participants supported one another throughout the activity, sharing responsibilities and assisting in transporting collected waste. Their coordinated efforts resulted in visibly cleaner surroundings within the two-hour period.

The New Corella District officially opened the Sports Athletic Association Meet 2025 through a ceremonial opening that marks the start of various athletic events, gathering participants from different schools to support one another, and build stronger teamwork and unity across the district. The event began with an energetic parade of athletes, proudly carrying their school banners.

This year’s district meet features a wide range of sports. Students were excited to showcase their abilities and represent their schools with pride.

The district meet will run from December 11 to 13, giving participants three days of competitions and activities. These dates were set to ensure smooth scheduling of events and enough time for every sport category.

As the competitions begin, the district looks forward to a safe, organized, and meaningful event for all participants.

𝐍𝐂𝐍𝐇𝐒 𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐨𝐩 𝟓 𝐢𝐧 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐝𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬

New Corella National High School (NCNHS) learners representing Davao del Norte (DDN) secured a spot in the top five of the Davao Region Interdivision Research Congress.

The delegation was composed of student-researchers Jay Lawrence Sawan, Lyka Jane Coscos, and Audrey Vito, together with their coach, Mharla Abenoja.

The interdivision research congress was held from November 12–14, 2025.

In no particular order, Davao del Norte, Davao Oriental, Panabo City,Tagum City and Digos City made it to the top five of the interdivision research tilt.

On the other hand, the official rankings are set to be released on December 10.

New Corella National High School marks the culmination of National Reading Month— a month dedicated to nurturing a culture where reading transcends habit and becomes a lifelong journey of curiosity, growth, and imagination, in line with the theme: "Reading is a Bridge to a Future Full of Hope".
Which highlights how every page turned to new opportunities, ideas, and dreams.

The event was held at the NCNHS school mini gym, where every corner was filled with cheer and excitement as students from different grade levels bring stories to reality through book-character portrayals, engaging the audience with expressive choral reading performances, and showcasing their confidence and quick thinking during the impromptu speaking contest.

The day’s activities spark imagination and strengthen the spirit of every learner. Through the students’ enthusiasm and creativity, National Reading Month ended not just as an event, but as an inspiration to continue turning pages, exploring new worlds, and building a brighter future through the power of reading.
