🌧️ EL NIDO LOKAL | TYPHOON TINO (KALMAEGI) UPDATE – NOV 3, 2025 🌴
Mga kababayan at ka-Lokal, as of tonight, Typhoon TINO (Kalmaegi) continues to strengthen over the Philippine Sea and is now expected to pass near Northern Palawan between Tuesday night and Wednesday.
According to PAGASA, DeepMind Weather Lab, and JTWC, the storm may reach typhoon strength before crossing the Visayas, bringing:
🌬️ Strong to gale-force winds (60–100 km/h, stronger in gusts)
🌧️ Torrential rain of 100–200 mm across Palawan
🌊 Very rough to phenomenal seas and possible storm surge along open coasts
Key timeline for El Nido:
Monday (Nov 3): Winds start picking up; scattered rain.
Tuesday PM–Night (Nov 4): Outer rainbands arrive; dangerous seas—no marine trips.
Wednesday (Nov 5): Peak impact — strongest winds and heaviest rain.
Thursday (Nov 6): Slowly improving weather, but seas remain rough.
📍 Northern Palawan MDRRMO offices are now on full alert. Residents, resorts, and tour operators are advised to secure huts, boats, and outdoor structures and to move to sturdier shelters by Tuesday evening.
