𝗞𝗔𝗣𝗜𝗛𝗔𝗡 𝗦𝗔 𝗠𝗔𝗡𝗜𝗟𝗔 𝗛𝗢𝗧𝗘𝗟: In yesterday’s media forum with TESDA Secretary Jose Francisco Benitez, discussions focused on investing in human capital to boost productivity and address unemployment and underemployment. Secretary Benitez emphasized TESDA’s industry-led training approach, its coordination with agencies such as the DOST to bridge macro-level skill gaps, and the growing focus on the care economy, including healthcare professionals, caregivers, pharmacists, therapists, and pharmaceutical R&D.

For the first time, in partnership with the hotel industry, TESDA—led by Secretary Kiko Benitez—awarded Certificates of TVET Program Registration to The Manila Hotel for its TESDA-registered programs under the Enterprise-Based Education and Training (EBET) scheme.

IN TODAY'S Kapihan sa Manila Hotel, we were honored to hear from the President and CEO of the National Power Corporation, Pres. Fernando Martin "Nani" Roxas, who reiterated NAPOCOR's commitment to finding sustainable and affordable energy solutions for all Filipinos. He called for collaborative efforts among the government, private sector, and communities to overcome challenges in the power sector and to build a more resilient and electrified nation.

We also heard from Atty. Chris Bendijo, Chief of Staff and Spokesperson of the Office of Civil Defense, who highlighted ongoing efforts to strengthen the country's disaster resilience. He emphasized that preparedness is a shared responsibility and specifically addressed concerns about structural integrity in the face of seismic events and extreme weather. “We have achieved a certain level of preparedness regardless of the season,” he stated.
