Moments lost in Translation
There these moments we shared as casual friends that still linger in my mind.
Your kindness and genuine nature drew me in from the start.
There were these tiny, almost imperceptible moments that made me sense you might be hiding something beneath the surface.
Maybe it was the way you'd nervously fidget or the fleeting glances that lingered a bit too long.
The invitation to your home for New Year's dinner seemed like a big deal, a sign of trust and maybe something more.
And then there were the little things – the way you'd adjust your posture whenever I was around, sitting up straighter as if trying to make a good impression.
Even the way you'd casually pull my chair closer before I sat down felt like a subtle attempt to bridge the distance between us.
I know it sounds like a lot to read into, but these small gestures added up, making me wonder if there was more to your actions than met the eye.
I found myself overthinking, replaying our interactions in my head, trying to decipher if there was a hidden message.
