“Ikaw si Pol Medina?!? Hindi nga?? Buhay ka pa?!?” That’s what one surprised Komiket attendee blurted out when the Pugad Baboy creator offered to sign the book he bought at Medina’s booth last year. Yes, Apolonio “Pol” Medina Jr. is very much alive, making books and signing them, driving a Mini Cooper and cooking breakfast for his kids (not at the same time, of course), and just days before this weekend’s Komiket (last day today at Ayala Malls Manila Bay!), he sat down with Spot.ph to talk about everything—from finding the real Polgas in Iraq to his exit from Inquirer, from his mom’s disappointment over his career choice (“She sent me to school for five years…and I chose to be a clown”) to why he thinks he’s never won an award despite his stature (“I stepped on a lot of toes. I’m not wholesome, no matter where you put me”). So if you’re not joining him at today, click the link to read more about this Pinoy comic legend. https://bit.ly/4mmO1dX
