Many cat owners wonder why their cats always follow them to the bathroom. It might seem funny or strange, but for cats it’s actually a normal and sweet behavior. Cats are naturally curious animals. When you close the bathroom door they want to know what’s happening inside. They don’t like being left out, especially by the person they trust the most.
Another reason is that cats see their owners as part of their family. They like to be near you wherever you go because they feel safe and loved when you’re around. The bathroom also seems like a quiet place, so your cat might think it’s the perfect time to spend a few peaceful moments with you.
Sometimes, cats follow their owners because of habit. They see you go to the same place at the same time every day, and since cats love routine, they just join in. Some cats also want to make sure you’re okay — it’s their little way of watching over you.
