I grew up without a father’s support—just Mama, doing her best, though she couldn’t carry everything alone with so many mouths to feed. Life was so hard back then, there were days we didn’t even know if we could go to school the next day… because we had nothing. No allowance, no food, just hope and grit.

At 14, I became a working student. At 18, I was no longer just a teenager—I was surviving on my own.

Now that I have my own little girl—my “mini me”—I promise her a different life. A life where love is constant, where childhood is soft, and dreams don’t have to wait. She will never have to wonder if she can go to school tomorrow… or if anyone will be there for her.

She will never have to heal from a childhood like mine.

And while life isn’t perfect yet, I carry the dedication to make it better each day. I’m grateful, too—for the wisdom I’ve gained along the way.
We may still have a long way to go,
but we’ve come so far from where we began.
